The study panel is the means by which the user specifies the data to be gathered.  It contains input fields for any parameters needed to query the database.  Each study panel "knows" the parameters that it provides, and identifies the valid queries based on those parameters.  For example, the intersection study panel is designed to gather a start date, end date, primary street and cross street.  When the intersection study panel is presented, it contains a list of the available queries that it is capable of using.  It will only contain those queries whose parameter list exactly matches the parameters that it can populate.

Queries used by the studies are based on available location data in a client database. Some users may have multiple studies available to them depending on the location data for each collision record.
