Login settings:

Show groups at login - Most installations will want the Show Groups at Login checkbox active.  This means that the users can select their user group from a pick list, rather than having to remember the name and type it into a standard edit control.  On public sites, it may be desireable to uncheck this box as it is a slight security risk to know the names of the available groups.

Admin login settings:

When the program is first installed, there is no user database to identify administrators.  Therefore, the first login must be by the built-in administrator account.  That account name is "admin".

Admin password - Specify a password for the admin login here.  You may change or remove this once administrators have been added to the system.  This is advisable if security is an issue.

Admin timeout - An administrator logging in will typically need a longer timeout than end users who will be accessing the program on an ongoing basis.  Specify a timeout value here for administrators only.

Debug settings:

Status log level - Be sure that the Status Log Level is set to "important".  Detailed log information is available by changing this value and restarting the service.

Debug SQL queries - Uncheck "Debug SQL queries" unless detailed information about queries that are issued is desired.

Send exceptions via:

When an unhandled exception occurs in the application, message can be sent to Pd' Programming indicating critical information about the system at the time of the error.

None / Email / Post -  Select the method of sending error information to Pd' Programming.

to - This is the email or web site address to send error information to.

Test send - this button attempts to send an error message to our server from the cmConfig program.  It is a useful test for detecting connectivity, however, it does not assure that the login provided to the Crash Magic application will have the security required to send such a report.
