Intersection Query

Top  Previous  Next

The Intersection query is used to retrieve data by intersection. Two values for each street are used to account for intersection names. An example intersection can be named "Broadway and Main" or "Main and Broadway". The intersection parameters are duplicated to account for this.

The following parameters are used in the where clause:

FristDate: This is the first date parameter of the Date range field in the Intersection Study Settings tab.

LastDate: This is the last date parameter of the Date range field in the Intersection Study Settings tab.

PrimaryStreet: This is the Primary street field of the Intersection Study Settings tab.

CrossStreet: This is the Cross street field of the Intersection Study Settings tab.

PrimaryStreet2: This is the Cross street field of the Intersection Study Settings tab.

CrossStreet2: This is the Primary street field of the Intersection Study Settings tab.

Example where clause:

((Crash.CRASH_DATE BETWEEN :FirstDate AND :LastDate))

AND(((PriSt.Streetname = :PrimaryStreet)

AND (CrSt.Streetname = :CrossStreet))

OR ((PriSt.Streetname = :PrimaryStreet2)

AND (CrSt.Streetname = :CrossStreet2)))

)

In this example Crash.CRASH_DATE, PriSt.Streetname, CrSt.Streetname, PriSt.Streetname and CrSt.Streetname are all fields in the clients collision database.
